    Join the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) student affiliate as we welcome back teaching interns! Having presented at the 2016 NCTE National Convention, they will share their experiences and give advice about how to do the same. Food will be provided. 

    • LINDSAY SHAFER, currently an intern teaching 11th grade IB English literature. Her presentation was entitled "Political Talk in the Classroom" and focused on dealing with students' reactions to the November presidential election. 
    • ALEX SEKULOVSKI, currently an intern teaching sixth and seventh grade ELA. Her presentation was about dialogic teaching catered to the middle school classroom using book clubs, worksheets and other strategies. 
    • JENNA PRATT, currently an intern teaching English 11 and Honors English 12. Her presentation was about effectively implementing technology such as Chromebooks or tablets in lessons for English 11/12 classrooms.
