Scott Hocking will talk about his work for the MSU Broad Field Station, which draws upon the many-layered history of Michigan, often hidden beneath new structures, buildings, and layers of accumulated earth. Scott Hocking is a Detroit-based artist whose sculptures and site-specific installations address the constantly changing landscape of a city through its detritus. Field Station: Scott Hocking is curated by Carla Acevedo-Yates, Associate Curator, and is on view through Sept. 30.
